Round Three Gwennie Inspired Medallion QAL

I hope I'm not wearing out my welcome--three posts in three days--yeesh!

Today is the link up for the third round of the Gwennie Inspired Medallion sew along.
The theme was LOG CABINS and this is what I came up with:
I found a piece of blue that matched my blue flowers pretty closely and the light part of my log cabin blocks was a strip of Edyta Sitar Snow Birds fabric left over from a quilt back. I've used up just about all of both fabrics, so round four is going to be a challenge. I'm afraid I may be too anal to be improvisational!
The theme for round four is STARS--I'm going to have to think about that!
I finally caught up with the Temecula Circa 2016 blocks too!

  2. I like how the white and the blue parts of the log cabin blocks frame the center medallion section. It worked out really well.

  8. I look forward to your postings and seeing what you are working on/have finished! I cannot help you with the blue fabric, but if that Laundry Basket floral print is the one I am thinking of, I have some that I would be willing to part with.

  18. I think the log cabin border looks spectacular. I think it echoes the rick rack in the center and I would have guessed that it was the same fabric as those blue flowers. I have to think about stars for a while, too, considering that my flowers in the center are star-like and I've already used stars in the first border. This has been a fun challenge!
